I’ve been wanting to use a “series” plugin for a while and finally have just bitten the bullet, did some research, and chose Organize Series. It easily lets me make groupings (or chapters or sections or a “series”) of posts so it’s easier for the reader to follow. It’s also easier for me to put together longer topics. Here’s an example I just set up for David Henry Sterry’s collection of helpful hints for writers in the series called “The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published.” That brings you to the series overview page where you can see all of the parts (posts) in the series. Then you can click to read each one.
I’m just getting started with it and I even see that there are add-ons to the plugin!
Here’s a bit more about it from the Organize Series site:
The Organize Series plugin for WordPress helps with the organization and presentation of articles/posts you write as part of a series. It makes it easier for readers of your blog or website to discover all the series you’ve written and to navigate through the posts in a particular series.
More from their site:
hey, glad to see you’re giving organize series a try! I hope it works well for you :)
Thanks, Darren. So far, so great. In fact, it’s even helping me think of topics in a different way because I’m breaking them up into parts. In a weird way, it’s even helping me think of new content. I’m sure there will be more on this site soon. Thanks again for the awesome plugin.
I am considering installing this plugin. However I am concerned because it could eventually be fully integrated into our site and that scares me.
Are you still using this plugin?
Could you give us an update please?
Thank you.
Hey Marcus,
I still use it and like it. There are two of these that you might want to compare. Organize Series and also the Series plugin. Check them both out.
