I’ve been using Vertical Response for some time and although it still works just great, I’ve been testing out Mail Chimp and so far: I like.
Great stats, easy-to-use editor to create your newsletter, love the backend interface, and, well, yeah, funny monkeys hanging around. Also, like Vertical Response, they don’t force you to do a monthly plan, but you can pay per recipient only when you send a newsletter.
September 2009 Update: They changed their pricing around a bit and now you can have up to 500 subscribers for free (max 3,000 emails sent out per month). Wow, can’t be that. They also have handy help videos to walk you through the steps to send an email, manage a list, and everything else you’d want to do. They also have auto-responders and after the video I realized: I should use auto-responders …
MailChimp Help
They have some very easy-to-follow help (especially the videos). Here are a few I found useful.
- Getting Started with MailChimp (PDF)
- Create a new campaign
- RSS to Email (one of my favorite features)
- Splitting your list up into groups (or segments)

Thanks for the great suggestion Bradley. I’ve switched my email marketing over from Constant Contact to Mail Chimp. Very happily.
You’re welcome, John. I really like MailChimp: loads of features, site is nice looking, speedy, and some great help videos. And they get some cheeky monkey wisecracks in there now and again for a laugh.
Sent it! Waiting for orders. Thank you so much–I love Mail Chimp!
At first E-mail marketing seems to be a very tedious and time consuming task of promoting affiliate products. But if you get used to E-mail marketing, it is as easy as PPC advertising.
One tool that beats this is Omnistar Mailer http://www.omnistarmailer.com
