We found a beauty of a theme at ThemeForest. Full-screen, stretchy backgrounds, custom navigation, minimalist design–but eye popping. Worked great until we started adding, you know, content. Turns out the theme was excellent if you didn’t have much in the way of content (i.e. text or articles). Was great for a photographer, but not for a business.
I turned to Canvas (big surprise there). But how to simulate those cool stretchy backgrounds? How about a fancier navigation? I did quite some searching and found Background Manager and UberMenu. Now I had the publishing power of Canvas and our tricked-out theme from ThemeForest. Actually, we now had an even better solution.
With Lauren Deane Evans of Good Looking Ideas steering the ship, we landed at FunctionOne. Check it out, ooh and aah, let us know what you think.
