The wonderful CASA after school program had a nice site. But we made a nicer one.
It was a project where the “before” picture wasn’t really so bad at all, so it was going to take a little work to make the “after” picture better for the CASA team.
What we did was bring in Lauren Deane Evans of Good Looking Ideas. That usually does the trick. What she does is produce a “brand,” gives it an identity, a sense of self. Just take the layout of the new site: it’s clean and lean. Logo prominent and readable. A cool silhouette of kids that doesn’t take away from the logo and tagline, but still gives the site a sense of character. Isn’t that what a brand is supposed to do? It’s not too busy, it’s not too sparse, it’s, in the words of Little Red Riding Hood, just right.
