Alinks (headzoo.com/alinks) is a WordPress plugin that will automatically create links for your site based on keywords you enter. For example, I will write “WordPress” here and because I created a keyword link so that every time I write “WordPress” it will automatically create a link that I specify.
Not only is it a time saver for keywords you use regularly, but it’s important for internal links, too. If I mention “website hosting” on this site, I might want it to always link to my own website hosting page (here). But now that I put “website hosting” as a keyword and made it always link to https://www.likoma.com/hosting.
So who cares? Well, Google cares (about search engine optimization). And if Google cares, you care.
Love this! Thanks, Bradley.
I’ve heard that the hyperlinks with this plugin only load when a page is pulled-up to be viewed. Does this hurt SEO at all?
Also, I heard of another similar plug-in called “WP-Affiliate”. Has anyone tested both WP-Affiliate and Alinks? I’d love to hear a comparison.
That looks like a great plugin but I’m having a problem opening the site. I’ll check it out later. Thanks Bradley.
I cannot find aLinks when I search Plugins in WordPress. Can you tell me where to find it and how to install?
Hi Jeremy, I haven’t use it in a while and I can’t find it either. Looks like WP Keyword Link might do the trick. If you use it and like it, comment back here with the scoop. Thanks!
I use one called SEO Smart Links that I like very much. Here is a short review:
