Here’s how to send a web page (URL) through Dada Mail:

.) Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi

.) Click Administration at the bottom,

.) Choose your list from the dropdown menu and enter your password

.) Choose Send a Web Page (upper left menu)

.) Enter the “Message Subject” and “Web Page Address (URL)”

.) Choose from the Advanced Options if desired. Use the top option, “have their URLs changed to absolute.”

{Basically, it’s about the images one the web page you’re sending: (a) the “have their URLs changed to absolute” option will be a smaller email, but if the recipient is offline, the images won’t show up (but the text will). (b + c) the “be embeded in the message itself … ” options will put the images in the email itself. Option b, “using the ‘Content-Location’ header,” seemed not to work as well. You might want to set up a test list and send it to a few people first to see how they receive it.}

.) Enter a Plain Text Version if you want to make sure that your recipients receive something more than Greek if their email programs can’t handle the fancy pants HTML coding involved in Send a Web Page.

.) Click Send List Message at the bottom.
