If you’re new to Google+, this new module will let your Google+ profile be followed more easily.
Google+ is gaining in popularity (to put it mildly) and having Google+ followers is becoming at least as important (if not more so) than Twitter or Facebook etc. If people are familiar with Google+, they’ll know how to follow your profile. But if they’re not, it’s not all that straightforward.
This new Jetpack module makes it super easy for others to follow your Google+ profile right from under your each and every post. Wow, pretty slick.
What you’ll need:
- Jetpack version 2.5
- A Google+ account–and you’ll need to be logged in.
- Log into your WordPress account, check to see you have Jetpack v. 2.5 then head to: Settings –> Sharing.
- Connect the Google+ account to your WordPress.
- Accept that they’re going to link the two accounts.
- You’re done.

[…] Jetpack’s Google+ Profile (Sep 24) […]
Hi Bradley,
I am logged into Google+ and have already linked Google+ to my blog, but when I go to click on the “connect Google+” button, the button is not clickable. Any ideas how to fix that
Hey Deron,
Hmm, maybe it’s already connected? Can you see your Google+ profile on your posts? If not, hmm, I don’t know. Might be a question for the Jetpack guys: Jetpack support. If you get an answer, please post it back here so we’ll all know. Thanks!
I knew I should be adding my Google+ profile to posts, but kept putting off figuring it out. Then it occurred to me to look here on WPU and sure enough, you have provided another set of simple, clear instructions. Thanks, Bradley!
