WOO Dojo’s Maintenance Mode has some nice features so that you can hide your site from visitors while you’re under construction or doing a design upgrade.

It doesn’t have little construction workmen or fancy designs, but it’s a great add-on for a quick fix. I’m sure if you dig deep, you can change those fonts, but I find them contemporary and easy to read.

You can choose which levels can see the site.

You can choose to hide it only from certain WP user levels (administrator, editor, author, contributor, subscriber). There are a few basic templates to choose from and you can type in the page title and the large message visitors will see until the site is live again.

One feature I like is the big red bar that reminds you that the Maintenance Mode is active. It’s easy to forget that your site is hidden and unless you turn it off, it will stay hidden.
