If you have some posts that are still stuck with the “admin” user, but you’d like to make yourself or someone else the author, here’s how. You can do them one at a time or use the Bulk Actions for posts or pages and change multiple authors at the same time.

Hey Bradley,
Thanks for the great video! I’m on a project and this came in handy. Do you have any idea how I can make it so a single author can post as multiple authors? Perhaps by creating a super admin?
Thanks, Brandon. If you how can, say, “admin” post as John Doe for one post and then as Barry Blogger the next post, admin can just set up the post and then change the author manually. Or maybe you mean how can a post be attributed to multiple authors? If that’s the case, I haven’t used it but I’ve heard a plugin called Co-Authors Plus.
Hi Bradley,
Your tutorial’s very helpful. I noticed it’s for registered users. Is there also a way where you can change the author to those sent by non-registered users? They submit a post without registering but when I approved their post “By” is shown as admin.
Thank you very much.
Hi Aubrey,
I don’t think this post is for registered users … at least it’s not now. Although I’m toying with the idea of making this whole site for registered users soon.
Hmm, I see what you mean. I guess you could create a new user called something like “Guest Poster” or “Guest Writer” and have that user be the default user who’s used when a new post comes in from non-registered users. Is that what you’re looking for? Hope that was helpful.
Hi Bradley,
Yes the suggestion for “guest writer” is awesome. Haven’t thought of it :)
Again, many thanks.
Many thanks Bradley Charbonneau. Even wordpress.org did not have the right solution. You’re my WP hero of the day!
Glad to hear it, Charles!
I truly like this post. I was looking how to change author. I didn’t have any idea. No, I followed your explanation and everything is how it should be.
Thank you so much for your time creating the VDO

We have also written a bit in depth tutorial about bulk editing Posts and Pages in WordPress here http://freewptp.com/tutorials/bulk-edit-wordpress-posts-and-pages/
Actually being a blogger myself I am looking for answers to typical issues that everyone faces. On the same way I came up on this page. I think you could help me clear up some confusions. As your explanation skills are top notch. I’ll surely go through your website for further leads.
Thank you
