Bay Area Chiropractic (bayareachiropractic.org) is the office of Dr. Brian Pensack, DC.
My philosophy is simple. I challenge the health paradigm that most people live within. This paradigm is one in which all the emphasis is on pain. A motto that sums up this paradigm I challenge is “maybe it will go away”. Whereas, my goal is prevention, wellness, and optimal function.
Glad to hear their others out there with the same philosophy is our clinic. Focusing on prevention, wellness, and optimal function will be where chiropractic has to go if it’s going to survive as a profession.
Applause… prevention and wellness are the key otherwise what we do is just a quick fix. When a person’s condition reverts or they end up with new issues, then they say “chiropractic doesn’t work”… or worse
Thanks for posting your philosophy. Now I know where to refer people who are visiting the Bay Area..
As a second generation chiropractor I have been practicing for over 20 years and it’s great to see that there are others who promote wellness and prevention…
It’s good to challenge paradigms and push people out of their comfort zones, as that’s how we typically grow most in our lives. I’m a firm believer in the wellness and prevention model as well.
Continued success!
I have seen impressive results combining chinese herbal medicine with chiropractic treatment. When the chiropractor provides an adjustment, seasoned Chinese herbology can hold the adjustment enabling the chiropractor to not have to work with slippage. In other words, the chiropractor can start where he left off with the last adjustment. Chiropractic has improved the results of my herbology as well. I especially like the exchange of our services to each other. What do you think?

Chiropractor address the underlying cause of pain disorders, headaches, low back pain and sports injuries by treating the cause, not covering the symptoms. Quite often, those painful conditions are linked to dysfunctional areas in the spine known as vertebral subluxations – where movement is restricted or spinal bones are misaligned. Chiropractors adjust vertebral subluxations and this often alleviates the pain.
Visiting a chiropractor can help you deal with a number of conditions. In some cases, a visit to the chiropractor can take away the need for painkillers or at least reduce it.
